he was up against Tony Worthington who is Andys dad and was playing some superb pool on the night but so was Mark who ended up winning 7-3, It was almost Father versus son if Tony Worthington had beaten Hopgood.

In the latter of the losers side which was shortened due to the time saw Les Dodd put Mark Mills out of the tournament 3-1 and at the same stage James Kay beat Tony Worthington, next for Kay was was Dodd with Dodd coming out on top in this one, so the losers final line was Dodd versus Mark Hopgood and this time it was Hopgood advancing to the final after beating his good buddy.

Winners side saw Andy Worthington reach the final after an excellent 7-1 victory over Mark Hopgood, and Andy repeated his win in the final taking the final rack for the win and taking maximum ranking points out of this one, although before the final both players agreed to share the prize money.
