Mark Selby is the 2013 Betfair Masters champion

Mark Selby has won snooker's biggest invitational tournament of the year and pocketed a cool £175,000 for his efforts, along with the 2013 Betfair Masters title and trophy, after putting in a superb performance in the final with a 10-6 win over Australia's Neil Robertson.

Selby led the scoring in the final match from start to finish and never looked troubled, despite a gallant rally by Robertson to take the score to 8-6.

World No.1, Selby, was nearly eliminated by Graeme Dott during their semi-final match as the Scot took a commanding lead, but in a late night tussle that lasted 5 hours, Selby staged an unlikely come-back to book his place in the final.

Graeme Dott and Shaun Murphy take £40,000 each for the semi-final finishes, while Neil Robertson bagged an £85,000 consolation prize for the runner up spot!

Robertson lines up second consecutive Masters title

Neil Robertson's 6-2 victory over Shaun Murphy has earned the Australian snooker sensation a place in the final and an opportunity to take the title along with the lion's share of the £250,000 prize fund on offer at the 2013 Betfair Masters.

If he does it, the 31 year old from Melbourne will join a rare group of players to have "done the double" in consecutive years, and one more victory will net him a whopping £175,000 pay day.

Standing in Robertson's way will be Mark Selby, who completed an unlikely come-back after Graeme Dott took a commanding lead in their semi-final tussle. In a tense, late night thriller which went the full distance, Selby won the final frame for a 6-5 victory and his place in the final of the sport’s biggest invitation tournament of the year.
