Predator Cues adds ‘Exotic’ updates to popular cue
Predator Cues has updated the P3 cue, one of its most popular cue series ever, with two new P3 Exotics. The newly launched cues – Golden Oak and Leopard Curly – deliver the solid feel and accuracy characteristic of the P3 Series, but with exotic wood details. The Golden Oak and Leopard Curly P3 Exotics represent the third installment in the P3 Series.
“Our P2 and P3 Series has been a success for more than 10 years,” said Karim Belhaj, president and CEO of Predator Group. “We released the new P3 Exotics for players who love the feel and accuracy of the P3 but want more exotic styling.”
The Golden Oak and Leopard Curly P3 Exotics each prominently feature curly maple wood, and are accented with a chrome butt cap with the Predator logo. The Golden Oak cue exterior is entirely curly maple with a golden-oak stain, while the Curly Leopard has equal-width striping of unstained curly maple and exotic leopard wood. The P3 Series first launched in December 2008 with the original P3 cue in metallic black with black matte striping. In 2009, Predator celebrated the company’s 15th anniversary by releasing P3 White, a limited edition cue in metallic white.

Like the original P3 and P3 White, P3 Exotics are available without a wrap or with the Uni-Loc® Leather Luxe™ wrap. With a softer feel and higher tackiness than leather, the Leather Luxe wrap provides superior moisture absorption and comfort through three distinct layers. The polyurethane outer layer keeps hands dry by allowing sweat and moisture to pass through, while the cushioned middle layer absorbs and releases moisture. The sealer layer closest to the cue protects the cue and increases its longevity.
The P3 Exotics also are composed of the P3 Series’ 30-piece construction, which uses three layers of wood in 30 separate pieces to reduce negative vibrations. Maple in the outer and inner layers and higher-density ash at the center deliver a solid feel. In addition, phenolic reinforcements in the butt and the Uni-Loc® Original Quick-Release™ joint enhance performance and increase longevity. The P3 Exotics’ standard cue weight is 19 ounces, and can be adjusted in 0.10-ounce increments through the Uni-Loc® Weight Cartridge™ system built into each cue. P3 Exotics come standard with Predator’s high-performance 3142 shaft, which players can upgrade to the Predator Z2 or FAT shafts.
P3 Exotics’ Golden Maple and Leopard Curly are priced at $999 without a wrap and $1,049 with the Uni-Loc® Leather Luxe™ wrap.
