Entry Details

Entry to the event will be £30 for players who were members of SAPPA in the 2009/10 season, as well as for members of Styx, and £40 for all other players.

Format

The tournament will be played in 2 phases. The first phase will be Double Elimination until we reach the last 16. The matches in this phase will be races to 8 on the winners’ side and races to 7 on the losers’ side. The second phase will be Single Elimination from the last 16 onwards to find the 2010 Scottish Open Champion. The lengths of the will be increased for the Single Elimination phase.

Other details of note for the tournament are:-
Balls racked with the 1 ball on the spot and the 2 at the back of the rack.
No tapped tables or magic racks
No 3-point rule

Dress Code
There will be a dress code in force for this tournament:-
Collared shirt (polo shirts included). Shirts should be tucked in while playing
Dark pressed trousers
Polished shoes
No jeans, jogging/sweat pants, shorts, trainers, tennis shoes or sandles allowed.

Please remember - any player who does not meet the dress code will be refused entry into the tournament.

Prize Fund
The 2010 Carlsberg Scottish Open 9 Ball Championships carries a guaranteed prize fund of £2,000 with £750 and the Scottish Open Championship trophy going to the eventual winner.

Hotel Accommodation
For those not wanting to travel to and from the tournament over the weekend, there are a couple of hotels nearby with the Victoria Hotel being, by far, the closest, located around 30 meters from the club.
