9 Ball hotshots in fundraiser at Rileys Ipswich
Ipswich 9 Ball pool players Craig Osborne and Phil Morgan are in training for a 24 hour charity pool match.
It will be played at Rileys Ipswich on Saturday August 7 to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care.
Craig – ranked No 12 in Europe – and Phil – ranked No 25 in Britain – will take five-minute breaks every two hours.
Phil, 37, from Femin Close, Ipswich, who organised the event, said: “I have always really enjoyed organising events like this. It has been three years since I have taken part in a charity pool event and it is well overdue.
“The difficult bit is when the sun comes back up in the morning and you realise there’s still seven hours to go. You hit the infamous wall, it’s difficult to get through, but it’s all for a good cause.
“Rileys have always been good to us and with their help we are hoping to raise at least £600.”

Craig who recently played in the World 9 Ball Championships added: “Phil has worked hard to organise this. He picked a great charity and I am really looking forward to it.
“In the run up to big tournaments Phil helps me by being my practice partner. So it is nice to help him for once!
“I have done a few of these before and it is a lot harder than it sounds. There are no words to describe how tired you get.”
