Peach wins Italian Euro Tour!

Another British winner takes centre stage on one of pool's most prestigious winner's podiums - this time it's Blackpool's Daryl Peach who takes the honours at the Italian edition of the EPBF's Euro Tour in Treviso near Venice.

Peach's sprint to the final was no mean feat as he had to run the gamut of Europe's finest pool players, including sweeping aside the recently crowned WPA World 8 Ball Champion, and fellow Blackpool player Karl Boyes, with what must have been a confidence boosting 9-3 victory in the Last 16 stage of the event.

Other notable victims of "The Dazzler" included fellow World Team Championship team-mate Mark Gray in a scintillating match that finished with a more modest 9-8 victory to Peach, and another close run victory in the final match (9-7) against Mateusz Sniegocki, from Poland - a country that seems to be producing almost as much powerful new cue talent as Britain. Italian Euro Tour underway!

Good luck to the players in Treviso, near Venice, on the Northeast tip of Italy's Mediterranean coastline, for the Euro Tour's latest event of the 2010 season.

The field is littered with celebrity players from all over Europe, including a new World Champion, as newly crowned 8 Ball supremo Karl Boyes flew direct from Dubai.

News is thin on the ground at the moment, but we'll be receiving photos and results shortly, and hopefully we'll be able too watch matches and have a little punt at the tour's official bookmakers... www.bwin.com
