‘The Rocket’ & ‘The Whirlwind’ Go Live From ‘The Strip’
The International Pool Tour (IPT) today announces the broadcast schedule for the inaugural IPT tour event; the IPT North American Open 8-Ball Championship that will feature UK snooker legends Ronnie ‘The Rocket’ O’Sullivan and Jimmy ‘The Whirlwind’ White. The event will broadcast live on British Eurosport* and British Eurosport 2** daily throughout the tournament.
The two snooker legends will be battling it out against 148 of the world’s greatest pool players at The Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas , Nevada for a share of the $2,000,000 prize money and a 1st place prize of $350,000.

Ronnie O’Sullivan’s first match will air live 23rd July
Commenting on the news Ronnie O’Sullivan; “This is an exciting event and I can't wait to get to Vegas. Going up against the world's best pool players is going to be a real challenge and I'm going to give it my best shot. It's great news that the tournament will be broadcast live on Eurosport so that the British public can get to watch me in action.”

Jimmy White talking on the eve of the event “I can’t wait to get in stuck against some of those boys & girls in Las Vegas . It’s my first time on the tour and it’s going to be an absolute riot. Mind you, it’s not going to be an easy job getting my hands on all that prize money. Some of the greatest players ever to have walked into a pool hall will be standing in my way of the $350,000 first prize, so I’ll need to be at the very top of my game if I’m going to stand a chance.”
