Germany's Oliver Ortmann takes Weert

Congratulations to Germany's Oliver Ortmann for a terrific 9-5 victory over Great Britain's Imran Majid in the final of the Dutch open this weekend. Majid had earlier dispatched of fellow countryman Darren Appleton in a thrilling hill-hill semi-final match, while Ortmann had disposed of Poland's omnipresent Mateusz Sniegocki with a more confident 9-6 scoreline.

In total, 166 of Europe's finest professional standard players participated in the Netherlands EuroTour this weekend, including a small but strong field of British players making the journey to the world renowned "House of Billiards" club in Weert.
