Bolton honors Jamican sprinter Usain Bolt
Join Jamaicans all over the globe and show your support for Jamaica on our Independence Day (Sat 8th August) and 50yr Celebration Party (on the 15th) by wearing clothing/shoes with the colors of the Jamaican flag, Green, Black and Gold (Yellow). We are aiming for people all over Bolton to wear Green, Black and Yellow for this year's celebration.

Jamaicans have influenced Bolton for the Past 50 years and most recently one of our athletes (Jamaican Sprinter, Usain Bolt Wins 100M Gold Medal) became the youngest person to win 2 Gold medals at the Olympic Games.
Join millions of people all over the world in this symbolic
celebration and let them know it is Jamaica Independence Day at the Cotton Tree, Prince Street in Bolton from 9pm.
Each color in the flag is symbolic: The black stands for hardship, the green for both hope and the fertile land, and the gold for wealth and sunshine.
