Pro9 Promotions is organising a local qualification tournament at Rileys Victoria on Saturday 1st July for one of the most prestigious tournaments in Europe: THE NORWEGIAN 9-BALL CHALLENGE 2006.

The entry fee to THE NORWEGIAN 9-BALL CHALLENGE 2006 is €140 and all entry fees will go to prize money, with a minimum of 128 participants, €10.000 is guaranteed for the first prize, with a total prize fund of €22.500.

The entry fee for the qualifier is just £25 and EVERY PENNY will go to the TWO qualifiers to cover entry, flights, hotel and expenses - the more entries, the bigger the prize fund, so enter AND bring a friend or two!!!

Tony "The Tornado" Drago, from Malta, and Imran Majid from Great Britain, who recently won the Eurotour in Italy have both registered, along with Ronnie O'Sullivan and Raj Hundal, and all are looking forward to their visit to Oslo this summer.

The venue is located in the heart of Oslo, with at least 20 hotels and 50 restaurants/bars/discos within 10 minutes of walking. ElbowRoom has 21 new Brunswick Gold Crown IV tables.

Tournament format: 9-ball. 32 groups, race to 5, alternate break. Last 64 single KO race to 9, alternate break. Break box, and racking is “tapped”.

Max. number of participants: 256

Dress code: EPBF-standard.

Airport: Oslo Gardermoen International Airport. The venue is 20 minutes from the airport, with the Airport Express Train. (Nathionaltheatret Station)

There will be mini-tournaments and lots of action throughout the event!

Many of the top players in Europe, both in pool and snooker, have already signed up for the tournament.
