Great Britain's National Referee Success Story
The British Professional Pool Players Association have successfully completed the training of the first ever National Referees to qualify in Great Britain under the new EPBF/WPA educational programme. There have been qualified referees in the UK before, but previously referees had to leave these shores to qualify, sometimes travelling as far afield as the United States. These candidates mark a new milestone in the history of the sport in the UK as the first referees to qualify in the UK.
Click on "Read More..." for the details.
The courses included instruction covering the World Standardised Rules of 9 Ball, 8 Ball and 14:1 Continuous (Straight pool) along with Instructions for Referees, Rules for Tournament Play and General Rules for Pocket billiards.
The courses were conducted over a two day duration and were run by BPPPA President Ted Bristow who is the WPA/EPBF Certified Rules Instructor for Great Britain.
