 Mark Mc Donald (Antrim) 2008 Avalon Print All Ireland Under-21 9Ball Champion. Mark Mc Donald Is Crowned 2008 All Ireland Under-21 Champion
Belfast’s Mark Mc Donald or other words known as “THE BEAR” to his fellow players became the first player to win the Avalon Print All Ireland Under-21 9Ball Championship for the second time in the five year history of this popular underage event defeating last years champion Tony Burton (England) in a fantastic final on a 10-7 score-line.
This great young player who travels across the English sea on a regular basis to play on the Great Britain Challenge Tour is heading of to Germany next week to represent Ireland at the 2008 European Pool Championships in the junior category and this tournament victory should put him in great stead when he comes up against the best junior players from throughout Europe when 39 European Countries will be represented.

On route to claiming his second All Ireland Under-21 9Ball title Mark had to overcome some very good players including his semi-final battle with Daniel Gorman when he just got over the line in a last rack decider and also a very hard fought final with last years champion Tony Burton.
