Everyman to Pot 8 Balls For Charity at Rileys Sheffield

Come on down to Rileys Pool and Snooker Club, Mansfield Road for a charity fun day on Sunday 10th February to show off your 8 Ball skills and be in with a chance of being crowned an 8 Ball champion!

Whether you´re a team player or a lone ranger Rileys is urging you to put your money where your mouth is with its ‘Owls v Blades’ competition.

The best part is that it´s all in aid of the Everyman Male Cancer Campaign, raising awareness of and funding research into male cancers.

    "Read More..." for the details.

Rileys Sheffield is launching ‘The Owls V The Blades’ contest in a bid to help raise vital funds for its Give Your Balls a Squeeze charity campaign, launched earlier this year. I´m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here beauty Gemma Atkinson is fronting the campaign in which Rileys aims to raise £150,000 for Everyman´s vital research into prostate and testicular cancer.

To encourage fair play, Rileys has catered for both junior ( under 18 ) and seniors ( 18 above ) and depending on your tactics, you can either play in a singles or a three-man team competition - the choice is yours! For those under 18, registration starts at 9am with play commencing at 10am through to 1:30pm. At just £1 per entry (£3 for a team entrance) that black ball really is worth potting for charity!

Registration starts at 6pm for the senior competition, with play commencing at 7pm through to midnight. Pay just £2 per entry (£6 per team) to play, your first drink is on the house and a buffet will be on offer throughout the evening. What more could you want from your Sunday night? On top of that, Rileys will be hosting a charity auction and raffle throughout the evening – you’ve got to be in it to win it!

“Prostate cancer claims the life of one man every hour in the UK and testicular cancer is the most common form of cancer in 15-44 year olds. The more we can do to raise awareness, the more lives can be saved. Residents in the Sheffield have the opportunity to get involved in a really fun way by coming along to Rileys. A little healthy competition amongst local residents is the perfect way to help raise funds for the campaign!” says Sean Langley of Rileys.

With trophies up for grabs and free food and drink on offer there really is no excuse to miss this great charity fun day - so start practising your ball skills and come and support the Everyman campaign! To register or for more information just call 0114 254 5161.
