Craig Osborne wins Chichester Summer 9 Ball Open

It was nice to see some of the old faces at Chichester, and great to see Doug and Brenda behind the desk for the first time in a long while.

Unfortunately for us, Tony Drago was unable to attend as he was busy at the 2007 Paul Hunter English Open in Leeds, but other players like Kevin Smith, Anthony Ginn, and David Walsh were there to fill the void.

After a long day of play, the full double elimination tournament came down to the crunch. Craig Osborne from Ipswich had the "hot seat" from the winner's side of the draw, whilst Parker, McCarthy and Ginn vied for the chance to meet him in the double elimination final.

Anthony Ginn was the victor from the triumvirate of challengers, and he would now have to beat Osborne twice to take the title.

It was not to be, however, as the Ipswich player ended the tournament in consistent fashion, not losing a match all day.

Although there were some "no-shows" at the last minute, reducing the field from 48 to 40, the player's entry fees added to £1,000 and Doug and Brenda added £100 of there own money to pad out the prize fund.
