Local favourite Darren Appleton wins on "home soil".
Winning is sweet, especially in your home county, and that's exactly what Yorkshire's Darren Appleton has done this weekend in Barnsley. The tournament got underway, and with the expected low numbers it was made a double elimination to the semi-finals format, so the players got plenty of table time.
